The Magic lost 111-118 to the Timberwolves in the NBA regular season today. Although the Magic star Bankello played well and finished with 43 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, but still failed to lead the team to victory. According to statistics, Bankello has averaged 32 points per game in the past six games, but the Magic have only a 2-4 record in that period.
Bankello’s performance after the All-Star break has been awe-inspiring, and he has become the league’s most prolific player with 40+ games. He has scored 40 or more points three times in that span: 41 against Golden State on Feb. 28, 41 against Toronto on March 5 and 43 against Minnesota today. Unfortunately, the Magic failed to win all three games.
So far this season, Bankello has played 34 games for the Magic, averaging 25.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 34 minutes per game while shooting 45 per cent, 32.3 per cent and 70.9 per cent, respectively. Bankero’s outstanding performance has certainly injected new vitality into the Magic team, but it seems that his efforts are not enough to lead the team to more victories.
Despite the poor record, Bankero’s potential and strength have been widely recognised. As a new star of the Magic team, he is gradually growing into the core player of the team. I believe that in the future, he will continue to strive to improve his performance and lead the Magic team out of the trough, to achieve better results. At the same time, we also expect Bankello to continue to explode after the All-Star break, bringing more exciting game moments to fans.
