With the NBA regular season in full swing, the Lakers lost 126-131 to the Nuggets on the road. Junior Bronney played 15 minutes and 43 seconds, making 1 of 5 3-pointers and 2 of 2 free throws. He added five points, two rebounds and one assist. After the game, he spoke to the media.
Speaking about the game, Browne said: “We have a few key players out with injuries, so we just have to fight as hard as we can and play as well as we can.”
Asked about his experience playing in the G-League, Browne said modestly: “I’ve always tried to keep a low profile, whether with the media or anything else. I mean, I try to do that in everything. I can feel myself improving and everything is going in the right direction.”
Finally, when it was mentioned that the buzz he faced as a basketball player was probably never quite normal, Browne calmly responded, “It is.”
Due to injuries and other factors, the Lakers roster had only 10 players available, Brownie in the first quarter of the game to get a chance to play, and successfully scored five points. Later in the game, however, he missed all four shots and had a wide-open airball. Still, Browne remains positive and believes he can improve.
