Curry’s 4000 3-point milestone and Green’s assists are credited with changing the game

Stephen Curry showed his three-pointer skills again against the Kings, hitting two 3-pointers to become the first man in history to make 4,000 3-pointers in the regular season. Although Draymond Green didn’t assist on the goal that reached the milestone, Green has provided the most assists on Curry’s 4,000 3-pointers — 671, or nearly 27 per cent of Curry’s total.

Green has a deep affection and a unique understanding of working with Curry. He said that while he doesn’t have a specific goal as his favourite, one of his favourite combinations is when Curry sets him up as a screen and comes around to pick up a pass from him for a 3-pointer. This tactic is always a clever use of defensive strategy to make the opponent pay attention to one thing and lose the other. Green emphasised that he and Curry only need to make eye contact to understand each other’s intentions and complete the offense.

Green spoke highly of Curry’s significance in the game. He believes Curry has not only reached an unprecedented milestone but more importantly, has changed the game and made the three-point shot so important in the game of basketball. Green said Curry has always been a guardian of the game and has made great contributions to the NBA and the league. He felt very privileged to be here to witness it all and to be a small part of it. More importantly, watching Curry play great every night makes him excited.

Curry’s milestone is not only an affirmation of his ability but also a revolution for the entire game of basketball. His performance inspired countless young players to pursue the accuracy and efficiency of the three-point shot and pushed the game of basketball forward.
