Horford: The Celtics have improved their game, but the Thunder played better in the last quarter

The Celtics lost 118-112 at home to the Thunder in an NBA regular-season matchup. After the game, Celtics player Horford was interviewed by the media. “I liked the way we played tonight more than I did the last time,” Horford said of the difference between the game and the Oklahoma City Thunder. I felt like we did a better job of spacing and our overall performance improved.” Despite the Celtics’ improvement in multiple areas, Horford remained humble, saying, “However, I have to give credit to the Thunder. They made more great plays than we did when the game was on the line, and they played better.”

Horford finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes and 57 seconds, including 6 of 12 3-pointers. It is worth mentioning that the Celtics took 63 3-pointers in the game, a league record this season, but finally made only 20. The loss to the Thunder snapped the Celtics’ five-game winning streak. They are currently second in the Eastern Conference with a 47-19 record. Despite the loss, Horford and the Celtics will learn from the experience and continue to prepare for the playoffs.
