Ingram is seriously injured, the Raptors or in a rotten predicament

NBA reporter Wenhorst recently talked about the Raptors player Ingram’s injury situation and revealed that the forward suffered a serious ankle sprain, and has been out of the game for more than three months. As a result, the Raptors may choose to “lay flat,” or give up the rest of the season to focus on rebuilding and planning for the future, according to Wenhorst.

Wenhorst’s comments prompted a response from another NBA reporter, Brett Siegel. “It’s easy to downplay the severity of ankle sprains,” Siegel wrote on Twitter. But in reality, second – and third-degree sprains can take months to recover and can even cause pain while walking. It makes sense that the Raptors chose to give up the rest of the season, but we can’t ignore that Ingram took a hit.”

Ingram has had a bumpy ride this season. He has appeared in just 18 games, averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 46.5 per cent from the field, 37.4 per cent from 3-point range and 85.5 per cent from free throws. However, he has been sidelined since Dec. 8 against the Thunder due to injury and has not returned to the court. Ingram didn’t play a game for his new team after being traded to the Raptors, but he signed a three-year, $120 million contract extension with the Raptors.

Ingram’s absence has undoubtedly had a huge impact on the Raptors’ fighting ability. As the team’s main point scorer and playmaker, his absence makes the Raptors face a serious challenge on both sides of the ball. In the face of such a dilemma, whether the Raptors choose to blow up will directly affect the future development direction of the team and the adjustment of the roster.
