Jalen Duren: The Pistons are passionate and determined to catch every pass from Cunningham

The Pistons beat the Wizards 123-100 at home in an NBA regular-season matchup. After the game, Pistons player Durham spoke with the media to share his views on the game and the understanding with his teammate Cunningham.

The team is full of passion and high morale.

Duren first talked about the Pistons’ performance in the game: “We’re a passionate team. When the game gets tight, the whole team gets fired up. Especially when Coach Bickerstaff was called for a technical foul, we were kind of lit up, and it made the game more interesting. You know, a dull game and a quiet crowd just makes it boring.”

With Cunningham’s tacit cooperation, vow to take every pass.

“I have a very good understanding with Cunningham on the court,” Durham said with a smile on his face when he talked about his free catch with Cunningham. I don’t need him to pass the ball perfectly or think about it. I told him I would try my best to catch the ball. At one point he even jokingly referred to me as his’ tight end ‘[the American football term for a receiver on an offensive unit near the opening line]. So, I’m going to make sure I catch every pass from him, no matter how difficult it is.”

The Pistons have steadily improved their record, ranking sixth in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons finished the game with a 37-29 record in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, a big boost for a young team, Durham said: “Our team is trying to win, every game is important. The current ranking is an affirmation of our efforts, but we cannot be satisfied with it. We need to move on and strive for something higher.”
