Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James travelled to Sacramento today to watch his youngest son Bryce play in the state championship game with the Lakers’ permission and support, according to celebrity journalist Chris Haynes. The decision reflects the Lakers’ respect and support for James’ family life.
“I’ve been told that James has completed all of his treatment for the day,” Haynes said on the show. “The Lakers understand and respect the emotional bond he has with his family, and they know how much this championship game means to them, so they are fully supportive of him going to the game. Although James is still recovering from his injury, he needs time to be with and support his family.”
Bryce’s Sierra Canyon High School will face Stockton-Lincoln High School in the state championship game. Sierra Canyon High School advanced to the regional final with a 74-68 win over its opponents thanks to strong play from Gavin Hightower (25 points) and Maxey Adams (22 points) in the previous round. Bryce scored just three points in that game.
According to Shams, James will not return for the Lakers’ game against the SUNS on Monday and is expected to miss another week. James left the Lakers’ game against the Celtics early with a groin strain. Today, the Lakers will play the Nuggets in Denver, and Doncic will also be absent, the team only 10 players can play.
Despite shortages and injuries, the Lakers have displayed unity and resilience. They understand that the health of each player is as important as the well-being of his family, so they fully support James’s decision. At the same time, they are also looking forward to James recovering soon, returning to the game, to contribute more power to the team.
