The NBA regular season continues with the Lakers’ 107-96 victory over the SUNS. After the game, Lakers player Austin Reaves spoke to the media about matching up with teammate Doncic and Hayes’ performance.
Reaves said the chemistry on the court is real, and as long as they play more time with Doncic, they’ll figure out how to work with each other. He mentioned that the rapport between him and Doncic got better as the game wore on and that it contributed to the team’s victory. Doncic played well in the game, scoring 33 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals, with a plus/minus value of +16.
In addition, Reaves also paid special tribute to the performance of teammate Hayes. He said Hayes created a lot of space for Doncic because when he made good cuts, it was almost impossible for opponents to guard him. Reaves also joked that this was the first and only time he had said anything positive to Hayes, indicating that he recognized Hayes’ performance in the game. Hayes played 29 minutes, efficient 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block, the game plus/minus 7.
Overall, Reaves was pleased with the team’s performance, especially the combination with Doncic and the good play of Hayes. He believes that as long as the team continues to maintain this form and tacit understanding, there will be more victories in the future.
