The Pacers edged the Bucks 115-114 on the back of Haliburton’s game-winning basket in one of the NBA’s most important regular-season games. After the game, the Pacers starting forward Siakam accepted the media interview, to Halliburton’s kill performance expressed a great sigh.
Halliburton’s knockout was amazing.
Speaking of Halliburton’s late 3+1 win, Siakam could not hide his excitement: “It was amazing! That Angle is almost impossible to finish, and it was done with Antetokounmpo (Antetokounmpo) defending. I don’t even think Halliburton could see where the basket was at that moment. But his shots were so accurate, it was an incredible moment.”
Halliburton calmly finished the crucial 3-and-1 shutout against Antetokounmpo’s tight defense at the end of the game, adding 14 points, three rebounds, 10 assists and two steals to help the Pacers win.
The Pacers are coming off a losing streak.
Before this game, the Pacers suffered a wave of three consecutive losses, respectively to the Hawks (double play) and the Bulls. Siakam also said in the interview: “In the last three games, we have not played our best. But tonight, we showed tenacity and team spirit. We’ve got to come out of it and beat the tough guys, and we did that tonight.”
The win meant a lot to the Pacers, not only helping them end their losing streak, but more importantly, it boosted the team’s morale and confidence, laying a solid foundation for the rest of the game.
The outlook for the future of the team
Siakam also talked about the future of the team in the interview: “We are a quality team, with a lot of good players. As long as we can maintain unity and confidence, I believe we can put in better performances and win more games.”
The Pacers have shown great competitiveness this season, despite some setbacks, but they never give up the pursuit of victory. As the season progresses, the Pacers are expected to continue showing strength in future games.
