The 76ers have agreed to a 10-day contract with Brissett, the team said.
Brissette has appeared in 11 G League games for the Long Island Nets this season, averaging 12.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. On March 13, he scored a season-high 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting in the G League.
Brissett’s NBA career began on a two-way contract with the Raptors in October 2019. He went on to average 6.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 227 NBA games over five seasons with teams including the Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics. Notably, he won the NBA championship with the Celtics last season.
After joining the 76ers, Brissett will wear the number 22 jersey and contribute his strength to the team.
