Anthony has been reborn at Betis, with four goals in 10 games matching Manchester United’s total in two seasons

Real Betis beat Guimaraes 4-0 in the second leg of the UEFA Cup quarterfinals to knock out their opponents 6-2 on aggregate and advance to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. In this game, Betis winger Anthony played well, not only scoring a goal himself, but also assisting his team to win the key figure.

In the first half, Anthony, with a precise pass and excellent movement, created two scoring opportunities for teammate Barkamb, who lived up to expectations by sending the ball into the opposite goal with a single shot and a header respectively, helping Betis take a two-goal lead in the first half.

In the second half, Anthony was the dominant player in the game. In the 58th minute, he broke through from the back with his ability and finally managed to open the scoring to extend the lead to 3-0. The goal not only showed his outstanding individual skills, but also showed his calmness and determination in the game.

Since then, Anthony has not stopped walking. After a strong break, he set up again to set Isco up for an easy push to make it 4-0. With that goal and an assist, Anthony has now scored four goals in 10 games since joining Real Betis and has been directly involved in eight goals (both goals and assists).

It is worth mentioning that this number of goals has already equalled the total he has scored in 52 appearances in his previous two seasons at United. Anthony joined Real Betis on loan from Manchester United during the winter window and has not been given much of a chance to impress during his time at the club. At Betis, however, he found his stage and not only scored significantly more goals, but was directly involved in many more.

Anthony’s outstanding performance in Betis has also attracted wide attention from fans and the media. His speed, skill and ability to break through are all impressive, becoming an important weapon in the team’s offense. I believe that in the future, he will continue to contribute more goals and assists for Betis, helping the team to go further in the UEFA Cup.
