Tottenham boss Postecoglou: The goal was wrong, the second half was better

Tottenham lost 2-0 to Fulham in the 29th round of the Premier League. After the game, Tottenham manager Postecoglou accepted the media interview and commented on the game.

“It was a very tight match, as is always the case here,” Mr. Postcooglu said. He felt that for much of the game, Spurs played with considerable ease and even had a good chance to take the lead. However, a very misplaced goal took the game out of Tottenham’s hands.

He stressed that both goals should not have happened, but at least hoped that the game would remain open. Postecoglou believes Spurs were the better side in the second half and had the best chances before conceding the goal. So it was disappointing to lose the ball.

Postecoglou also said it had been a difficult season for Spurs. They have lost too many games in which they should have gained something, and this is one of them. The sense of loss is all the more poignant as another international break comes on the heels of another defeat. He stressed that Spurs need to make sure they are ready when they return and fight hard for the rest of the campaign.
