Western media: Barcelona and Conte have basically reached an agreement to extend the contract until 2030

According to Spanish media Daily Sport, Barcelona and French defender Conte have almost reached an agreement to extend their existing contract until 2030, that is, to extend the contract to 2027 for another three years.

Earlier, reporter Carlos Monfort revealed that Barcelona sporting director Deco held an hour-and-a-half meeting with Conte’s agent in February to discuss the renewal of Conte’s contract. Although Conte’s current contract does not expire until 2027, Barcelona have begun to deal with the renewal of the contract, showing the high importance of Conte.

Barcelona have been pleased with Conte’s performance and the French defender has fully embraced the role of wing-back and has been performing well on the field. After the extension, Conte’s salary will be increased, which is a recognition and reward for his outstanding performance.

Conte joined Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2022 for a fee of 50 million euros. He has made 131 appearances for Barcelona, scoring six goals and adding 18 assists, helping the club win one La Liga title and two Spanish Super Cups. This season, under Frick, Comte has played 43 times and contributed 3 goals and 8 assists, becoming an indispensable member of the team.

The deal is expected to be officially announced this summer, allowing fans to witness the French defender’s future at Barcelona.
